Overview

APT is an award winning, Australian owned travel company offering cruises and tours on every continent. IE was able to navigate this complex portfolio of products to deliver a technology platform which is both beautiful and easy to use.

Challenge

To be recognised at the Webbys is a huge honour and a testament to the technical skill and digital project management expertise of the team at IE. They worked hard to understand our business. They navigated our hugely complex product portfolio to deliver a high quality platform that is simple, visually appealing and easy to use.

Approach

The following processes were followed in order to deliver an industry leading solution to market:

  • IE Agile Plan - 4 weeks of analysis, design and backlog planning for delivery
  • Delivery Sprints - the project was broken down into releases, to be delivered over a 12 month period

The biggest innovation on the site is the pricing section, which means customers can plan down to the dollar what the trip is likely to cost.

The IE team set up a dedicated space designed for the cross-functional team to co-locate together.

The team consisted of the following disciplines:

  • Lead consultant
  • Digital business strategy
  • UX
  • Design
  • BA
  • Front-end development
  • Back-end development
  • QA
  • Program Management
