The second of the Connected Commerce series of events took place on the 12th of June, at IE Agency. With the who’s-who of retail in attendance, Connected Commerce aims to bring the leading industry executives together for an evening of networking, discussion and thought leadership.

The theme, Cannes Comes to Retail, jetted guests across to the fresh summery vibes of France, to escape the Melbourne cold. Taking inspiration from the reknowned convention, Cannes Lions, guests were treated to a discussion on brand creativity elevating the customer experience.

The speakers for the evening were Rhys Hayes, Founder of IE Agency, Campbell Phillips, Editor of Power Retail and Fabio Carvalho, Channel Manger of eBay, who all delighted us with stimulating discussions on local and globally steller branding.

Dean Flynn, Managing Partner of IE, said of the event: “An excellent night of discussion with some of the country’s top retailers. There were some great insights and predictions for the future of retail in Australia, I’m glad IE is able to facilitate such a great event.”

Carvalho was elated with eBay’s involvement in the evening: “It was great to be in a room with so many likeminded individuals; to speak openly and transparently about our mutual industry challenges. eBay are proud to be involved in the Connected Commerce series of events.”

Attendees were from some of Australia’s most prolific retailers, including: Sussan, Sportsgirl, Telstra, Tourism Victoria, Seed, Nine West, Captain’s Choice, Sass&Bide, Jetstar, Movember, JB Hi Fi, Disney, Forever New, Cotton On, Kookai, Officeworks, Kathmandu and more.

We’re already looking forward to the next event, set to be even bigger than this one.
